Abstract
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage refers to CSF leaking into the sinus and nose from the subarachnoid space. When iatrogenic CSF leakage occurred during the surgery, the leak is almost impossible to recover spontaneously and therefore must be treated immediately. An endoscopic approach to repair anterior cranial fossa CSF leakage is known to be so effective and successful that it recently replaces intracranial surgery. Successful CSF repair requires accurate identification and localization of the defect, and it is important to select the appropriate surgical method. Here, we report a case of 49-year-old male patient in which we used fluorescent material to identify and localize a defect in anterior skull base and applied multiple layers method to minimized complications.
